Talentéo launched its first Sport2Job event in Lyon on Tuesday 17th October. The concept: an inter-company challenge creating an opportunity for major corporations in Lyon to meet disabled job-seekers in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Sport2Job is an event which was established by Talentéo in Grenoble in 2015. It has led to the recruitment of 70 people and raised awareness amongst over 800 people about disability in a fun and friendly setting combining sport and gastronomy.
Two different challenges, sporting (football, tennis, etc.) and cooking, set the tempo for the event, held at the Palais des Sports in Lyon, in which the APRIL Group as well as eight other companies from ten different sectors took part.
In the company of Marie-Amélie Le Fur, partner of the APRIL Group, and David Smetanine, patron of this year's event, this day offered an opportunity for the APRIL teams to take positive steps to meet and talk to disabled job-seekers in order to get to know each other from a different perspective and in a special setting, and to break with traditional recruitment codes.
"For this first time in Lyon, we are happy and proud to have finished in second place! This event is above all an opportunity for the APRIL Group to contribute towards changing perspectives of people with disabilities in the workplace," Melissa Torres, Head of CSR and Disability at the APRIL Group.
