Over 100 young people applied during May to join APRIL's '1st Step' scheme, the unique insurance training programme launched by the group's CSR department in 2012 to facilitate access to the job market for young people aged 18-25 facing barriers to employment.
Following skills tests, 35 of them were selected for individual interviews, an important stage in the process of identifying the best applicants. Nine of these interviewees therefore started their '1st Step' training at the beginning of the week.
During this 400-hour training course which runs from 6th June to 12th September, they will cover customer service and insurance techniques.
Once they have completed the course, the nine new staff members will receive a diploma and will begin a six month contract within either APRIL Santé Prévoyance, CETIM, APRIL Mon Assurance, APRIL Entreprise Prévoyance.
"The 1st Step scheme works well. Every year, it enables us to identify new talent and to offer employment opportunities to young people," concluded Delphine Gallay, Head of Disability and Diversity at the APRIL group.
Congratulations to the nine staff members who have joined the group!
