Fabrice Maraval is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique Engineering School and the ENSAE (an Engineering school specialised in applied mathematics, economics, statistics and finance) and has a Master's in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics. He is a CFA and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Having worked for AXA in China, he joined the CNP in 2002 where he had an international role as M&A project manager, then M&A Director until 2007. Following this he worked as Chief Financial Officer at CNP Southern Europe from 2007 to 2012 before becoming CEO of CNP Caution in Paris in 2013.
