APRIL has always aimed to change the image of insurance and to work in areas others do not.

Our partnerships strategy illustrates this ambition, by supporting athletes who shake things up in each of their disciplines, and with whom we share our values.

APRIL and the OL women’s team: the story continues!

As a partner of the OL women’s team for over 10 years, APRIL supports European football’s most successful club, driven by a team ethos and an exceptional fighting spirit. As French champions (14 times), European champions (seven times) and Women’s Club World Cup champions in 2012, the OL ladies have shaken up the very masculine image of football and achieved full recognition by their peers and the public.

Irrespective of their geographical roots, we share the values of commitment with them as well as the societal values of a club dedicated to societal responsibility: supporting employment, education, healthcare, assisting people suffering from illness or disability, and promoting amateur sport.

 

As part of its support for women and bold projects, it was only natural for APRIL to confirm this strong link with the women’s team. A partner since 2011, APRIL is very proud to renew its partnership for this season, as official supplier.

APRIL Marine supports Clément Machetel in his new 2021 Mini Transat project.

A little ambition, a pinch of boldness and a generous dose of courage, these are the values on which Clément Machetel and APRIL Marine’s story is based: that of an ocean-loving skipper and an innovative, hard-hitting company from the world of sailing.

 

In 2019, it was on board #913 that Clément Machetel achieved his lifetime dream to take part in and complete the La Boulangère Mini-Transat, a solo transatlantic race on a 6.5 metre yacht. APRIL Marine is proud to support Clément once again during the 2021 Mini-Transat. This year, the race will set off from the town of Sables d’Olonne, where APRIL Marine’s headquarters are located. The sporting stakes for this year’s race are clearly high: a new boat (pogo 3 series, #1010) and the pursuit of a podium finish.

 

APRIL Marine skipper, Helly Hansen southern Europe water sports manager, and father of two, Clément makes his plans, including the 2021 Mini Transat, by juggling his three different lives. A workhorse and offshore racing enthusiast, this forty something has taken his time to make his mark and take on the world of sailing.

Today he is proud to represent APRIL Marine, his main sponsor, and to continue making a living from a job he is passionate about within the Helly Hansen Group.

Johann Zarco and APRIL Moto, a high-performance mindset in common; a clear-cut partnership.

In May 2018, APRIL Moto agreed a three-year partnership deal with Johann Zarco, France’s most successful Grand Prix driver, who is currently on track to achieve his dream of becoming the MotoGP World Champion.
Twice Moto2 World Champion in 2015 and 2016, it was in 2017 at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans that he achieved his first podium finish in the most prestigious category. Finishing sixth in the 2018 overall ranking, Johann Zarco pocketed the award for the highest placed independent driver.

 

In 2019, Johann took on a new challenge by signing up as an official driver for the KTM Factory Racing team. This staging post as a factory driver will enable him to reach new heights.

 

For the 2021 season, Johann has been promoted to Ducati’s main satellite team. He will be equipped with the latest version of the official Ducati motorbike, the Desmosedici GP, and will receive the same developments as the official drivers, while continuing to work with members of the same technical team which supported him in 2020. Johann can once again aim high and has everything he needs to secure victory.

 

APRIL Moto decided to develop this partnership around the concept of #Donnons le meilleur (#Give your best) and built on a common value: a competitive spirit. Indeed, it is this competitive spirit which drives Johann Zarco and the APRIL Moto teams to give their best every day: one looking to excel and win races, the others to win over and foster loyalty among their customers.
