APRIL reaches a new milestone in its CSR strategy: EcoVadis Gold Medal and Top 5% global ranking

Press releases

21 July 2026

With a score of 83/100, up 13 points from its previous assessment, APRIL has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal* and now ranks among the top 5% of the highest-rated companies worldwide. This distinction recognises the significant progress of the Group’s CSR strategy and confirms its ability to make responsibility a driver of sustainable performance, innovation and long-term value creation.

This achievement reflects a conviction that has long been at the heart of APRIL’s strategy: environmental, social and ethical issues are no longer peripheral to business performance—they are one of its key drivers. Embedded at the core of the Group’s strategy, these commitments strengthen its capacity to innovate, support its partners, attract talent and create sustainable value for all its stakeholders.

The EcoVadis assessment highlights significant progress across all four areas evaluated:

  • Environment: 86/100 (+26 points)
  • Ethics: 85/100 (+15 points)
  • Labour & Human Rights: 82/100 (+2 points)
  • Sustainable Procurement: 79/100 (+29 points)

These results reflect the successful implementation of Oxygen, the Group’s CSR roadmap, which is built around four strategic ambitions: supporting the transition towards more sustainable insurance, enabling employees to thrive, contributing to a more inclusive society and sustainably reducing the environmental footprint of its operations.

Beyond this recognition, APRIL remains committed to a long-term ambition: embedding responsibility ever more deeply into its business activities and decision-making processes. The Group is accelerating the integration of ESG criteria into the development of its insurance solutions, strengthening its commitment to the non-profit sector through its APRIL Citizen programme, continuing to roll out its workplace wellbeing policy, and stepping up initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, particularly through the greening of its digital infrastructure.

“This Gold Medal recognises a collective transformation that has been underway for several years. It reflects our determination to make CSR a genuine driver of value creation and a cornerstone of our development. At APRIL, we firmly believe that sustainable performance is built by combining innovation, responsibility and operational excellence. This recognition encourages us to pursue this path with even greater ambition, alongside our employees, partners and the wider ecosystem,” said Sophie Ferreira, CSR Director of APRIL Group.

* EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of business sustainability ratings. Each year, it assesses more than 150,000 organisations against internationally recognised standards across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
