APRIL has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal this year, placing the Group among the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide. What does this recognition mean for the Group? 

Beyond the medal itself, this is first and foremost an independent recognition of the path we have been pursuing for several years. It confirms that we have successfully embedded social, ethical and environmental considerations into the way we develop APRIL. 

This achievement is also the result of a collective effort. Behind our score of 83/100 are hundreds of initiatives carried out every day across our businesses, support functions and subsidiaries. This progress reflects the commitment of all our teams and demonstrates that responsibility has become a genuine driver of value creation for the Group. 

How does this assessment reflect APRIL’s strategy? 

At APRIL, we do not see CSR as a standalone initiative or simply a matter of compliance. It is fully embedded in our development strategy. 

Our Oxygen roadmap reflects this ambition through four commitments: supporting a more sustainable industry, fostering employee fulfilment, contributing to a more equitable society, and reducing our environmental footprint. 

This approach is gradually being embedded across all our activities, from our insurance solutions and procurement practices to our HR policies, governance and broader contribution to society. It is this consistency that EcoVadis is recognising today. 

Does this distinction mark an important milestone or a new starting point? 

Both. 

It is an important milestone because it validates the progress we have made in recent years and the increasing maturity of our approach. But it is certainly not the finish line. The expectations of our clients, partners, employees and society are evolving rapidly, encouraging us to go even further. 

We will continue to embed CSR considerations across our activities, accelerate the initiatives undertaken as part of Oxygen, strengthen our commitment to society through APRIL Citizen, and continue to support the transformation of our industry.
