A loyal partner of the SNSM, APRIL Marine presented its annual donation in Les Sables-d'Olonne

-APRIL Marine is committed to making boating safer and more responsible, both at sea and alongside the quayside

-A donation of €38,500 was made to the SNSM in 2023

-Renewed support for 2024

Because boaters’ safety, prevention and awareness of the dangers of the sea are essential, APRIL Marine has been a partner of the SNSM since 2012. This support is necessary to enable the lifeguards at sea to continue to intervene and help users of the sea in the best possible conditions.

This year, the donation took place on Thursday 14 December in Les Sables-d’Olonne, the company’s head office, in the presence of Lionel Boismery – CEO of APRIL Marine, Christophe Monnereau – President of the Sables d’Olonne SNSM station and Bruno Wojciechowski – Director of the Vendée Training and Intervention Centre.

A donation to support the stations and targeted missions

A donation of €38,500 was presented to the SNSM on Thursday 14 December.

Once again this year, the donation was allocated to the Sables-d’Olonne SNSM station, then divided between the Centre de Formations et d’Interventions de Vendée, the SNSM head office and the Le Marin SNSM station, which has an APRIL Marine branch.

Boaters insured with APRIL Marine, the main users of the sea, are joining in the donation, as each year APRIL Marine chooses to donate €1 per comprehensive insurance policy to the SNSM.

Each SNSM entity will use this donation to renew on-board equipment, reinvest in new equipment for lifeguards, repower beach craft, co-finance new boats, etc. A donation that will help save lives.

APRIL Marine teams are present at every moment that counts, and are committed to helping customers get back on the water as quickly as possible (assistance and breakdown repairs, claims management).

That’s why, through this partnership and to ensure this unique support, the teams take part every year in training and discussion sessions with the SNSM’s volunteer lifeguards at sea and learn how to give first aid, how to strike a life raft, how to take stock of safety equipment, how to set off smoke bombs, how to put on a survival suit, etc.
